The practical answer
Start with the system, then choose the credential. Send the reader model, the chip requirement and a working sample reference. We can discuss the physical format and customization while your integrator confirms enrollment and authorization.
A format people will carry
Choose PVC cards when a visible identity or printed membership detail matters. Use keyfobs for compact daily access. Consider wristbands where carrying a card is inconvenient. Match the format to actual handling, attachment and environmental requirements rather than selecting by appearance alone.
Keep reader approval at the center
Specify the required chip and data format with the system integrator. A UID read is not the same as an approved access transaction. Test enrollment, permissions, replacement and revocation in the real system. For an upgrade, document how existing credentials will coexist with the new batch.
Make issuing and reordering easier
Plan logo placement, department or membership colors, printed numbering and packaging together. Keep printed numbers and electronic IDs mapped where your process requires it. Agree the sample reference so a repeat order preserves the approved chip, construction and visual layout.
What to include in your inquiry
Send the application, reader or controller model, chip specification, desired format, artwork, batch quantity and destination. If the chip is uncertain, say so and include the system documentation. A project-specific quote follows the confirmed specification; availability and schedule need confirmation.
